About the Sessions
Session fees are $100 - $200 and depend on the goals for your portrait session. Are you out to really capture the feeling and personality of your family and enjoy the portraits on a wall gallery or an album? Let’s spend some time to tell that story and do a full session fee at $200. We aren’t limited to a short time constraint, nor one location. If your goal is simply a set of gift prints for family and friends and perhaps one portrait for you wall, you may only need a short & sweet $100 session fee, which covers one location and a shorter session. Contact me today and we can design our time together accordingly. Returning clients enjoy 15% off their session fee.
Your session fee reserves your portrait appointment in my calendar and covers the pre-session consultation in person or by phone, your portrait session, post-session processing and preparation of your images and a private viewing/ordering appointment at our studio. It does not include any prints or products. Prints or products are purchased at the ordering appointment. Contact me to request a full product catalog/price list. Clients typically spend between $300 - $900 per session. Professional photography is, indeed, an investment, but it’s an investment in heirlooms for your family – which will be enjoyed and honored by generations to come.
IN-HOME PORTRAIT SESSIONS
I love working at the homes of my clients. Years from now, your children will look back at your photographs and remember the mood and feeling of your home. The little details and flavor that only your home can evoke. I often find that kids are much more relaxed at these sessions, and are so proud to show off their favorite books and toys. It can be a beautiful way to capture amazing, authentic moments with your family.
Think of a favorite pastime or activity for our session - whether it is hunkered down on the couch, all tangled up with each other, or in the kitchen making blueberry pancakes as a family... I'll work with you to develop a plan for an at-home session that will result in very personalized and delightfully unexpected images.
IN-STUDIO PORTRAIT SESSIONS:
I prefer a classically simple approach to studio photography. Beautiful lighting and simple sets add up to images that focus on you and your family. Watch for seasonal mini-session events – including {real} Easter Bunny Encounters in the spring, Black & White sessions, and fun holiday themes in the fall season.

ON LOCATION PORTRAIT SESSIONS
Let’s have an adventure! From your favorite Sunday breakfast haunt, to a playful park session, we'll find the ideal location and best time of day to create a situation where you can simply relax, have fun, and enjoy your photography session. Think about creating an experience for your family, where you’ll remember the family time for years to come, not only through the photographs, but because you took time to slow down, and enjoy family moments together. I promise, you’ll cherish those images more than any others. Ideas include picnics, a game of go-fish or checkers on an old quilt at the park. Hiking at Smith Rocks. Tadpole hunting at Todd lake. I'm not afraid to travel - if your favorite family spot is at the coast or in the mountains (or well, maybe a tropical beach!) - let's chat!
