My Sketchbook Journal from Europe 1995
In the fall of 1995, just after I had graduated from Willamette University with an art degree, my best childhood friend and I spent two months travelling through western Europe by train. I kept a sketchbook journal of the experience, and it has become one of my most treasured and sentimental possessions (aside from my husband and children, of course).

Monet's Gardens at Giverny, near Paris. I have such mixed feelings about this page. It's one of those pages I wish I'd had an eraser! I love the sketches of the individual flowers, and the lower left corner with the iconic willows and bridge, but I really hate the image of Monet's house in the middle. Oh well.
